What a bitter-sweet story. This would look good as a TV drama. :)
This is what many young people are missing in this day and age, having pen pals. When I was an adolescent, I also had pen pals and had so much fun communicating with people your age from far off places.
Now, we have facebook, emails, blogs, and others – but it's not the same when we used to write our letters with TLC and respect for our friends.
