He is the son of the late Salvador Laurel and Celia Diaz Laurel he is the actor singer songwriter recording artist and stage performer in the Philippines.
It's too bad to see Cocoy in the films he made after paring off with Nora Aunor in the early 70s.,the last was Lollipops n Roses at Burong Talangka in 1975 no further film with his first leading lady. Some of the films he did ,were not fit for his personality ,his character as a person and not so challenging film though. I was disappointed about his Films which some were daring ,more of bed scenes.
